GIVING YOU YOUR SMILE BACK

We offer a number of services designed to restore your smile to its former glory. Keep reading to learn more about composite fillings, inlays and onlays, crowns, and bridges!

COMPOSITE FILLINGS

We provide composite fillings to restore teeth that have been affected by cavities. These fillings are made from a tooth-colored material and use a specialized light to harden the material. Composite fillings are completed in just one visit.
INLAYS AND ONLAYS

Our team will remove damaged or decaying parts of the tooth and provide inlays and onlays that restore the tooth. Inlays and onlays are partial crowns that are placed when there isn’t enough tooth to support a filling but enough of a tooth structure where a full crown isn’t needed. Our goal is to restore the tooth to its original strength, function and esthetic.
CROWNS

When you have a decaying tooth, a dental crown will protect the tooth and allow for you to have a set of teeth you’ll be proud to show off. At Newtown Smile Dentistry, we provide crowns that will preserve your natural tooth, while supporting the bone structure and stability of your mouth.

We will take an impression of your tooth or teeth and will remove all the diseased or decaying areas before inserting the crown. Depending on your situation, the crown may be placed the same day, or we may give you a temporary crown until yours is ready. There are four main types of crowns that include ceramic, porcelain fused to metal, gold alloys and base metal alloys. We’ll work with you to determine which is best for your situation.
BRIDGES

If you’re missing one or more teeth and want a dental bridge, we will be happy to assist at either of our offices in Newton, CT and Redding, CT. A bridge is ideal when there are one or more adjacent teeth missing. The abutments (supports) for the bridge are created by placing a crown on a natural tooth or implant. The tooth that replaces the missing tooth is called a pontic.

There are four typical types of bridges: traditional dental bridges, cantilever bridges, implant supported bridges and Maryland bridges.
DENTAL IMPLANTS

With our dental implant procedures, we provide a strong foundation for bridges, dentures and more. We’re proud to specialize in implant supported bridges, implant supported dentures and full arch All-on-4 implants, and we look forward to giving your teeth the stability they require.
