Dr. Kim graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2015 with general honors, a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, and a minor in visual arts. He attended Rutgers University School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 2021 before completing his general practice residency at Jersey City Medical Center.
Dr. Kim has completed continuing education courses in opioid analgesic use in dentistry, remote communication with patients, dentistry and the elderly, implant placement, and dental hypersensitivity. He has also made it a priority to assist others around the globe with volunteer work. For example, he has helped people in Guatemala and Mexico with inadequate food, mentored underperforming students, tutored dental students in a pre-clinic setting, and helped screen for COVID-19 and distributed N95 masks and other PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) during the onset of the crisis.
Lindsay is passionate about patient care and considers it a privilege to work with patients and their families.
As the Newtown Smile office manager, Lindsay is committed to exceeding your expectations and helping you achieve your dental health goals with the highest level of comprehensive care in a comfortable, warm environment.
When she isn’t working, you’ll find Lindsay at a baseball field or a hockey rink. She is a very active sports mom and enjoys spending time with her family. When not at a sporting event, she can be found decorating indoors or watching the sunset, looking up at the stars, and enjoying what nature has to offer.
Karen was born and raised in Litchfield county. Karen joined the dental field over 4 years ago. She is certified in billing and coding. She truly enjoys working with patients, and doing her best to help everyone achieve their best smile!
When she is not working she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. Animal rescue is very near and dear to her heart.
Martha has been in the dental field from the age of 15. She started as an on the job trained dental assistant then graduated from BOCES vocational school in Westbury, NY for dental assisting. Martha then went on to graduate from Tunxis Community College where she earned an Associate’s of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She is also a graduate of Western CT State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology.
Martha is certified to give local anesthesia, certified in laser therapy and has also completed courses in Invisalign. She truly believes in giving back to the community, therefore she has volunteered at the annual Connecticut Mission of Mercy (CT MOM) free dental clinic since becoming a dental hygienist. She really enjoys being able to help each patient feel informed and comfortable throughout their visit.
When she is not treating patients Martha can be found playing volleyball, working on her fixer-upper or hiking with her husband and two dogs.
Marlene graduated from the Fones School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Bridgeport in 2015, earning a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Originally from the Dominican Republic, Marlene moved to the United States in 2009 and is fluent in Spanish. With a deep passion for dentistry and a commitment to patient care, Marlene is dedicated to providing compassionate dental care and enjoys helping patients achieve healthy smiles.
Beyond the dental office, Marlene enjoys quality time with loved ones, listening to podcasts, seasonal decorating, and retail therapy!
Cindy has worked in the dental field since 2000, and worked in Periodontics for many years. Then she took some time off to go back to school and get her bachelor's in psychology/ human development and then came back to the dental field where she is most comfortable and passionate. When Cindy has free time, she loves being with my two children and cooking.
Tammy has been in the dental field for 22 years. She started her career in Thomaston where she was for 15 years. What Tammy enjoys the most about assisting, is getting to know patients and learning the latest technology. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her two awesome daughters and her newest addition, her granddaughter. She also enjoys spending time with her parents and friends. Mostly, if she is not at work, she is home happy with her two kitties.
Gabby grew up in Litchfield County. Gabby started her Dental Assistant Career in 2019 and never looked back. She enjoys working with her patients and putting a smile on their faces. When Gabby is not working she loves to travel with her friends and go on hikes with her black lab, Max.
Sara was born and raised in Litchfield County and attended Oliver Wolcott Technical High School and graduated with a Hairdressing/Cosmetology license in 2018. She attended Porter and Chester Institute for Dental Assisting and graduated in 2020 with her Dental Assisting Certification. When she has free time, Sara loves spending time with her dog, Bear and hanging out on the boat during the summer with her friends.
Brandon was born and grew up in Danbury, Connecticut. He also attended the University of Rhode Island where he got his bachelor's degree in Finance. In his free time, he enjoys playing and watching football with friends, as well as watching movies.
Destiny was born in the sunny state of Arizona. She moved to Connecticut when she was 3 years old. Destiny also attended Porter and Chester Institute for Dental Assisting. That is where she found her love for dentistry. When she has free time, Destiny enjoys watching Netflix and hanging out with friends and family exploring new places.
